Living my best life.

Cooper requested that he and I do one last trip together before he heads off to college next month and boy did we pick a great one! Together with a group of 15 other like minded outdoorsy types we white water rafted, hiked, and camped our way through the entire Grand Canyon. In a word, it was EPIC and was an experience I will always cherish. As a bonus we celebrated Cooper’s 19th birthday midway through the canyon which made for a very special 19th birthday! Physically the trip was challenging for me, as I knew it would be given my current state of treatment for metastatic breast cancer. But it was all worth it to see the look of pure joy on Cooper’s face as we paddled our way through the fastest moving white water in North America. Here’s to living my best life and continuing to thrive in the face of #MBC.
